My new favorite female R&B artist is AMERIE. Her and producer Rich Harrison are really doing it this year. Rich is like Chucky Thompson meets Just Blaze. If he starts making tracks for rappers, it's over. And this chick's voice is like butter. I might not be the best critic when it comes to modern "rap&bullshit" but I'm really impressed with this album. As a producer, this is almost exactly the type of R&B music I vision myself putting together. Check the snippets available on her site and judge for yourself. Because unfortunately her soundscan numbers might tell a different story.

New Kanye West single. Yeah he's still sampling, yeah he's still got the braggadocio-flow and yeah he's still dope. I don't know how people will respond to this because it's not exactly for radio or the clubs. More of a performance type joint but then again, who knows. Very uptempo. The beat is a little "over"produced with a lot of background strings and keys.
